I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
